To do a quick recap of the week - The CAT scores were depressing (53.13 %ile), the SNAP scores were depressing (75/180). All in all they just ruined all my plans. And what is it with IIPM? Crazy stalkers-like! I dont want a worthless piece of "degree" after i 'dream beyond IIMs'.
Busy week otherwise - assignments, projects, the usual you know. Nothing worth blogging about.
The best part of the week was definitely I-RIX 2011 (www.i-rix.in) an inter-college computer science event by our college. Best because I came to know the others are just as bad (if not worse) than us in the field of computer science. Actually no, that's partly depressing.
The quiz was good-ish. Some *facepalm* moments from the quiz:
Q. "What is the subject of the movie 'the social network'?"
A. Hacking
Q. Which web browser shares its name with a genre of music?
A. *pass* (just then someone in the audience yells 'Opera'. I'm not going to admit that person was me).
Just after the quiz master says that Mark Zuckerberg was the youngest millionaire...
Q. Who was the youngest millionaire at the age of 27?
A. *pass*
Q. Why was www.symbolics.com so famous?
A. Because it had the word 'symbol' in it.
Q. Who invented the Mouse?
A. Stephen Hawking (WHAAAA???)
Someone in the audience said "Mickey Mouse" -_-'
Q. What was the name of the supercomputer that beat chess champion Gary Kasparov 2-1?
Audience Answer. Rajnikanth.
All in all, a good day. Got a free t-shirt too!
